Snakes of Bathurst and Oberon

The Bathurst and Oberon region is home to a surprisingly diverse range of snakes, from highly venomous species such as Eastern Brown Snakes and Tiger Snakes to harmless species such as Diamond Pythons and blind snakes.

If you encounter an unfamiliar snake, keep your distance, rather than attempting to identify or handle it yourself.

Mildly venomous

Golden-crowned Snakes typically are not found in the region. However it's likely their range extends into the outskirts of Oberon LGA which I believe merits a spot.
